Frequently Asked Questions
Do You Photograph Group Photographs ?
Yes, I do, if you want them. If you send me a list of the ones that you want, I will employ a Bridesmaid or Usher to help me gather the people to keep it efficient and get you back to the celebrations as quickly as possible.
Can We Both Have Preparation Photos ?
Absolutely. If you’re both getting ready at the same venue, or within about 5 mins of each other, I’ll do that. If you’re further apart on the morning, we may need a 2nd photographer (Which I can provide)
Do You Do Engagement Shoots ?
Of course. When you get in touch, just let me know you’re interested in one. They can be pretty much anywhere. Parks, woodlands, city centres or even your wedding venue are all perfect locations. They’re a great opportunity for us to get to know each other & for you to get some practice at having your photo taken. You can even use the photos for invitations / save the date cards.
Can You Provide A Second Photographer ?
If we need one, I have a list of trusted people that I’ve worked with before. I know that I can rely on them and that they will provide work in a similar style to my own.
Do You Charge Extra For Travel ?
If your wedding is in any of ‘the Yorkshires’, travel expenses are included in the package price - there’s nothing extra. Outside Yorkshire, I do charge for travel & if necessary, a hotel.
What If It Rains?
Unfortunately, it can happen. I recommend that we plan for it & bring some outdoor wear & an umbrella on the day. It’s better to have it & not need it than need it & not have it. If the weather is really bad, sometimes we have to have an indoor plan.
Are You Insured ?
Definitely. Public Liability & Professional Indemnity. I also insure all of my equipment and carry plenty of back-ups.
How Many Weddings Do You Photograph?
Over the years, I’ve photographed over 200. Over the last few years though, I’ve limited myself to a maximum of two a month & I never photograph back to back weddings. Your wedding is a special day & you need a photographer who’s relaxed, refreshed & can focus their attention on you.
Do You Do Wedding Video Too ?
Although the tools are similar, Video is a separate discipline that needs different skills. I prefer to concentrate on doing the best job that I can of the job that I’m good at: Documenting your day. I do, however, know several excellent videographers who’s details I will pass on to you.
